Arattai App to Get Encryption Update as Sridhar Vembu Seeks User Opinions

Zoho’s homegrown messaging platform, which is the app Arattai, is now gearing up for a major encryption update. This app has been deployed aiming to strengthen its privacy and data protection features.

The move comes as Zoho CEO Sridhar Vembu has also announced plans to enhance the security of the data and also the end-to-end encryption, while also seeking valuable user feedback to shape the app’s future updates.

Arattai, which has been launched as a secure Indian alternative to the field of global messaging apps, has quickly gained huge attention for its simple interface, user reliability, and its main focus on privacy.

With the growing concerns over all the data breaches and even the online surveillance, users are now increasingly demanding stronger encryption standards.

Responding to all this, Sridhar Vembu has also taken to social media to invite all kinds of suggestions and opinions from the app’s user base, thus indicating Zoho’s community-driven approach to the field of application development.

The upcoming update is also expected to introduce the feature of end-to-end encryption for all the messages, voice calls, and even the group chats, which has been ensuring that only senders and recipients can access the whole communication.

This would help align Arattai with the highest global privacy benchmarks, which would thus assist in competing with all the established players in this field, like WhatsApp, Signal, and Telegram.

Beyond encryption, Zoho is now reportedly working on the field of cloud synchronisation, faster backup options, and even enhanced device security.

The initiative also helps to underscore the company’s commitment towards building a secure and self-reliant communication ecosystem that would also help to prioritise Indian users’ data sovereignty.

Sridhar Vembu has also emphasised that privacy should not be a premium feature but a basic right for all digital users.
