Perplexity AI, one of the famous San Francisco-based artificial intelligence companies, is now preparing to launch a groundbreaking feature. This feature is designed in a way that will reveal Indian politicians’ stock holdings.
This move aims to enhance the financial transparency and accountability within the political landscape of India.
The announcement was made by Perplexity AI’s CEO, Aravind Srinivas, who recently confirmed that the feature will now roll out for Indian users in the coming weeks.
The feature will now be an extension of Perplexity Finance, which would actually be a platform that would already allow users in the United States to track the stock holdings and also the trading activity of all American politicians.
For India, the system will also gather and analyse publicly available data from all the reliable sources, like election affidavits, various asset and liability declarations, and even all the official disclosures to map out all the investments that are being made by politicians in listed companies.
Once finally and officially implemented, users will also be able to search for a politician’s name or a company, and will also be able to instantly view any related holdings or financial connections.
This could also help citizens and investors identify all the potential conflicts of interest between political decisions and personal investments.
The upcoming launch would also help to mark a significant step in India’s digital transparency movement.
By combining the recent AI-driven data analysis with open-source information, Perplexity AI also aims to empower citizens with better insights into all the financial activities that are taken by their leaders.
