The company’s new initiative on this majorly focuses on nurturing all the emerging talent, also strengthening India’s esports infrastructure, and even focuses on establishing a sustainable ecosystem that too for aspiring professional gamers.
According to Krafton, India has been one of the fastest-growing gaming communities in the world. They have been ranked like this because they have millions of young players actively participating in online tournaments.
The 2026 roadmap will also include a series of national-level esports tournaments, a group of talent scouting programs, and even various kinds of mentorship opportunities, which have been designed to help Indian players compete on global stages.
The roadmap has also helped to emphasise long-term player development, thus providing proper training, exposure, and even the required financial support for all the professional and semi-professional gamers.
Krafton is also someone who aims to collaborate with schools, colleges, and gaming organisations in order to introduce structured esports programs, which would also help players transition from the nature of casual gaming to a full-time competitive career.
In addition to the field of BGMI, Krafton also plans to expand its presence by hosting all the multi-title tournaments and creating partnerships with all the local gaming platforms.
The company also intends to improve prize pools, aims to provide global participation opportunities, and even aims to launch exclusive esports leagues focused on Indian talent.
