Samsung has now officially launched its digital car key feature in India. This new thing would be allowing users to unlock and start their Mahindra’s upcoming electric SUVs, the BE6 and XEV 9e, directly through the Samsung Wallet app.
This collaboration between two famous companies, Samsung and Mahindra, marks a major milestone in India’s growing smart mobility ecosystem, thus bringing users the convenience, security of data, and at the same time innovation, which is mainly to connect vehicle technology.
The Samsung digital car key would also help to utilise advanced NFC (Near Field Communication) and UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technologies, thus enabling seamless and secure car access without any user requiring a physical key.
Users can now simply tap their Samsung Galaxy smartphone on the car door handle, nd they can use it to unlock the car, and once inside, they can start the vehicle with a single press of the power button.
This keyless entry system also has the support of remote access and even comes with the feature of secure key sharing with all the family members through the Samsung Wallet app, thus enhancing security and privacy.
Mahindra’s BE6 and XEV 9e are the innovations among the brand’s next-generation electric SUVs, which have been mainly designed to feature the latest in connected technology.
With the integration of Samsung’s digital key, Mahindra now aims to enhance the overall user experience. This would be majorly done by providing effortless vehicle control and even improved safety.
The key data is also stored securely in the device’s Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), ensuring protection from unauthorised access.
